Collection: Terminals

Reliable electrical connections on a boat start with choosing the right terminal for the wire gauge and application. This category covers tinned lugs, butt connectors, and speaker disconnects from Ancor and Pacer, sized across a range of AWG ratings from fine 22-18 gauge signal wiring up through heavier 4 AWG runs. Pacer tinned lugs specify both wire gauge and stud size, so check both before ordering, a 4 AWG lug comes in 1/4-inch and #10 stud versions that are not interchangeable. Ancor butt connectors and speaker disconnects are available individually or in bulk jars and assorted kits, which suits installers working on full wiring jobs rather than a single repair.

Insulation type is the other key choice. Ancor heat shrink connectors form a weatherproof seal when heated, making them the practical choice anywhere moisture, vibration, or salt air is a concern. Nylon fully insulated versions handle drier, protected runs at lower cost. Speaker disconnects add a tab-size variable, .110 and .187 inch tabs are common but not interchangeable with each connector series, so match the tab to your existing receptacles. Buying in quantity jars or assorted kits makes sense if you are outfitting a full electronics install or keeping spares aboard.
