The SI-TEX MDA-1 Metadata is a Class B AIS transceiver for vessels that need to send and receive AIS data. It uses a compact waterproof module with an internal 50-channel GPS smart antenna and supports NMEA0183, NMEA2000 and USB connections.

Units sold in the US must be programmed by a qualified technician as required by the FCC. Programming requires a completed form, a copy of the MMSI Registration or FCC Ship Station License, and the vessel master or owner's signature.
