Keeping a clear view underway depends on matching the right motor, arm, and blade to your windshield. Marinco and Sea-Dog cover the full system here, from individual components to complete kits. Motors are the starting point: Sea-Dog offers both standard and waterproof versions with 2.5-inch shafts in 80-degree or 110-degree sweep patterns, while Marinco's STD and MRV motors share the 80-degree sweep but differ in shaft length, the MRV running a 3.5-inch shaft for deeper mounting situations. All motors in this category run on 12V. Sweep angle and shaft diameter must match your existing hardware if you are replacing a motor, so measure before ordering.

Arms and blades are sized separately. Marinco's stainless steel arms are adjustable over a range, including a pantographic style for wider coverage, while blades come in fixed lengths starting at 11 inches. If you run dual wipers, Sea-Dog's synchronized wiper control keeps both arms moving in tandem, and a combo kit adds windshield washer function in one installation. For single-wiper boats, a motor kit with the right sweep angle is usually all that is needed. Stainless steel construction on arms and blades resists the salt and UV exposure that degrades lesser materials quickly in a marine environment.
