Overview

Replace a compatible boat steering setup with the Uflex USA TM87 rack and pinion steering system. The kit brings together a front-mount helm, steering cable and mounting bezel, with a tapered shaft that accepts most steering wheels up to 16 inches in diameter.

Key features

  • A supplied helm, cable and bezel bring the main steering components together in one kit.
  • Stainless steel cable output ends and corrosion-resistant materials address exposure in marine use.
  • The X34 bezel matches the existing helm bolt pattern described for this replacement setup, avoiding additional drilling.
  • A standard 3/4-inch tapered shaft allows continued use of a compatible steering wheel.
  • Compatibility with SSC134, SSC135 and SSC154 cables and the SH91610p helm supports replacement planning.

Good to know

The steering wheel is optional. Do not use this system on a boat whose engine exceeds the boat's maximum horsepower rating. The supplied listing gives conflicting length information: 18 inches in the title and 18 feet in the description; confirm the required length before ordering.
