Overview

Star brite Boat Bottom Cleaner is a 1-gallon hull cleaner made for removing marine deposits, alkali water rings, yellow buildup, stains, and grime from boat bottoms. Its acid-based formula is intended for careful use on dry hull surfaces after the boat is removed from the water, though stains above the waterline may be treated while the boat remains in water.

  • Size: 1 gallon
  • Formula: acid-based boat bottom cleaner
  • Use on: dry hull surfaces after large marine deposits are knocked off
  • Removes: marine deposits, stains, alkali water rings, yellow buildup, and grime
  • Application: apply with an all-plastic sprayer, non-nylon roller, or brush; directions also specify use of a natural bristle brush from an open plastic container
  • Cleaning action: keep deposits wet and foaming; foaming indicates the cleaner is working
  • Rinse timing: most surfaces should be ready to rinse with water after about 10 minutes of foaming action
  • Heavy buildup: may require repeated applications and light scraping
  • Sprayer care: pump fresh water through sprayer before storage
  • Safety: wear protective gear; product is caustic and can cause skin irritation
