Overview

A large swivel bail distinguishes this 73mm Ronstan snap shackle for sailing lines and fittings. Its release mechanism pairs precision components with a heavy-duty plunger spring, while the body and hasp allow connections to clear when opened.

Key features

  • Shaped release surfaces help prevent lines and fittings from catching as they come free.
  • Precision parts and a heavy-duty spring support dependable plunger operation.
  • A spot weld secures the split ring on the plunger pin.
  • The plunger pin accepts a lanyard for easier opening.
  • A high strength-to-weight ratio balances connection strength with fitting weight.
