Handle anchor deployment and retrieval with the Maxwell RC 8-6 vertical windlass. This 12V unit gives boaters automatic operation with a compatible rope-and-chain rode or an all-chain setup.

Key features

  • The Wave Design chainwheel guides chain and grips rope to help control the rode during retrieval.
  • A spring-loaded stainless steel pressure arm helps the wheel engage the rope-to-chain splice.
  • Two-piece installation allows retrofitting without taking the windlass apart, while multiple mounting positions help accommodate the gearbox and motor.
  • A large through-deck opening helps the rode travel into and out of the anchor locker.
  • The supplied emergency crank provides manual operation when needed.
  • Topworks can be dismantled using the supplied handle and an Allen key for servicing access.
