Overview
The Gator Guards SkegShield is a skeg guard for Merc/Verado applications. It is designed to cover and protect the skeg, or to help repair a broken skeg, using a stainless steel guard that installs without welding, glue, adhesive, epoxy, or cure time.
- Fit: Merc/Verado
- Material: 18-gauge 316 marine grade stainless steel
- Finish: Mirror polished stainless steel
- Construction: Reinforced lower edge
- Hardware: Shearable bolts to help prevent gearcase damage
- Drainage: Drain hole helps prevent water retention
- Installation: DIY installation with no welding, glue, adhesive, epoxy, curing, or down time
- Install time: Under 30 minutes
- Warranty: 3-year warranty
- Installation note: If the motor is under warranty, check with the manufacturer before drilling holes in the skeg to mount a guard.
