The Garmin MSC 10 is a GPS-based marine satellite compass for boats that need dependable heading data without relying only on magnetic sensing. It provides heading and vessel motion information for compatible Garmin displays, autopilots, and other onboard systems through an NMEA 2000 network.

  • Heading: Multiple receivers provide heading accuracy within 2 degrees
  • Motion data: Supplies heave, pitch, and roll information
  • AHRS: Built-in attitude and heading reference system supports heading at all speeds, while turning, pitching, or stopped
  • Network: NMEA 2000 compatible for Garmin chartplotter integration
  • Update rate: 10 Hz position updates
  • Backup heading: Can change from GPS-based heading to magnetometer-based heading if satellite signal is lost; magnetometer calibration is required
