Overview
The Davis Instruments J-Base is an optional mounting base for the WindTrak 15. It gives the WindTrak 15 a lighter mounting option aloft when used in place of the standard base.
- Fits: Davis Instruments WindTrak 15
- Product type: optional J-Base mount
- Weight reduction: lowers overall weight aloft by 15 grams when substituted for the standard WindTrak 15 mounting base
- Included hardware: two #10 / 5 mm self-tapping screws
- Installation options: drill a pilot hole in the mast and screw into the mast
- Alternate installation: tap the mast for 3/16 in. / 5 mm machine screws or use epoxy putty to affix the base to the mast
- Sealant note: silicone sealant or Locktite is listed for use during installation
