Overview

Ease the crew's effort when furling the jib with the Barton Marine Stanchion Ratchet Block. Its ratchet can stop the sheave turning in one direction, adding friction to oppose the sail's pull on the furling line.

Key features

  • A stainless steel clamping ring lets you set the block at the angle needed on a standard 25mm stanchion.
  • Ball bearings reduce friction as the block runs.
  • A stainless steel lever lets you lock the swivel head when required.
  • The nylon and glass-fiber-reinforced polymer body provides UV protection for outdoor exposure.
  • Marine-grade 316 stainless steel internal parts support use in marine conditions.
  • A 12-faced aluminum sheave provides the line-contact surface for the ratchet action.
