Overview

NMEA 0183Data Interface

The Actisense WGX-1 links older NMEA 0183 equipment, NMEA 2000 networks, Wi-Fi devices, and a PC interface in one marine gateway. It is suited for boats that need wired data conversion as well as wireless streaming to connected laptops, tablets, smartphones, and compatible boating apps.

  • Function: Bi-directional conversion between NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000
  • Wireless data: Streams NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 data over Wi-Fi
  • Wired gateway: Transfers or converts data between existing NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000 instruments
  • Data examples: Position, speed, course, wind speed, depth, engine data, and AIS messages
  • Logging: Records data to an internal micro SD card; card not supplied
  • Software: Includes Actisense-i diagnostic tools for NMEA 2000 network status, voltage issues, and attached device status
  • Interface protection: OPTO-isolated input and ISO-Drive output for NMEA 0183 or RS232 / RS422
