Collection: Rub Rail

Rub rail protects a boat's hull at the waterline and gunwale edge from dock contact, fender wear, and general knocks, and the TACO Marine lineup here covers both full replacement projects and targeted repairs. The SuproFlex kits combine a rigid rail body with a flexible vinyl overlay insert in one package, available in two profiles, 1-5/8" high by 7/8" wide and 2" high by 1-1/4" wide, with lengths of 60 or 80 feet to suit different hull perimeters. If you are replacing components rather than the entire rail, TACO also sells tube-style flexible vinyl inserts by the roll, hollow-back 304 stainless steel inserts by the six-foot section, and rigid vinyl flex-core rail sold separately.

Before ordering, measure your existing rail profile carefully because height, width, and channel depth all affect fit, and mixing profiles from different product lines rarely works cleanly. End caps, available in small and medium stainless steel, are sized to match specific rail profiles, so confirm which SuproFlex series you have before buying them. Color consistency matters too: black and white options are stocked across most SKUs, so plan the full run before purchasing to avoid mismatched sections. Boaters doing a full re-rail should calculate total gunwale length and add a margin for cuts and corners.
