Whitecap swim platforms come in two materials, white poly and teak, each suited to different priorities. Poly platforms resist weathering with minimal upkeep, while teak offers the warm, traditional look of natural wood and holds up well when properly maintained. Both are available with or without a ladder, and several teak models include a telescoping ladder in either two-step or three-step configurations, which is worth considering if you have children or guests who need an easier climb back aboard.

Before buying, confirm your motor configuration. Products here are designated for outboard motors only, or for inboard/outboard combinations, and choosing the wrong fit can mean a platform that does not mount correctly to your transom. Check the platform dimensions against your transom width, particularly if you are looking at the fixed 18-inch teak option. If you frequently swim or water ski from the boat, a model with a ladder makes re-entry considerably easier and is generally the better choice for active use.
